These notes are provided to help you to make online purchases.
Using our shopping basket
The products we sell online all have their own image window which will also show the item's stock code and price. Click the pink basket icon to add a product to your shopping cart. A yellow message appears just below the basket to show the item has been added and this also gives you the option to remove it from the basket. You can select as many items as you wish on any page and they will all be added to your basket.
When you are finished shopping use the scrolling bobbin to go to the top of the page and then click the pink basket
icon with the legend Your Basket. Alternatively, click the basket icon below the bobbin.
Note: These links can be used at any time to examine the contents of the basket.
After clicking to access your basket, you are presented with the order form. This shows all the items you have selected and you can adjust the quantities if you want more than one. You can also remove items you do not want. Lower down the page you will need to enter your name and address details. If this is your first purchase from us, you also need to enter a personal password which will be tied to your email address. This is to help you on return visits as you will merely login with your email address and password. As an established customer, your contact details are held in our database and will be used to populate the contact details on this page.
Please protect your password which is uniquely associated with your email address. If you do lose it, or forget it, there is an automatic facility to reset it. A secret code will be emailed to you which must be used within 24 hours. This code can be used once only.
When you are ready to proceed click the large green button labelled: Confirm Details Above.
The next page allows you to double-check your order and make changes if necessary. When you are satisfied everything is correct you need to finalise the transaction. Depending on your earlier choice of payment options you will be presented with one of two buttons. If you have opted to pay online click the button labelled: Make Payment Online. This will take you to the payment processing page at PayPal. If you decided to pay by cheque or BACS, click the button labelled: Place Order.
Please note that post and packing charges are calculated on the order form and you will be required to pay the total amount shown when you make your payment.
We use PayPal because it is a well-known and trusted system. The advantage of using PayPal is that we do not see any of your personal financial details so the transaction is entirely secure.
If you already have a PayPal account you can use your PayPal login details and complete the transaction very quickly. Or you can create an account for future usage. You can also pay by credit card even if you don't have a PayPal account.
On completion of the transaction you will receive an email confirmation of your purchase from PayPal and another email from us showing details of the goods you have ordered.
Paying by cheque or BACS
If you prefer to pay by cheque or BACS, the buying process is almost identical except that you are not transferred to PayPal. You will receive an email showing the details of your order together with the prices and payment instructions. Please send a cheque for the full amount to the address shown at the bottom of the confirmation email. For BACS transfers our account details are also shown on the email.
If you opted to pay us directly by debit or credit card, you will receive an email directing you to a page where you can submit your card details. Our website is totally secure as we use an encrypted server so your banking details cannot be hacked.
